TCMS Science Olympiad Competes in State Tournament

The Twelve Corners Middle School Science Olympiad team placed fourth at the Regional Tournament in March to earn a spot in the state tournament in Syracuse. They placed 33rd overall at the state event, with many students close to winning a medal. Wind power finished in 11th place, scrambler car finished 12th, and helicopter finished 13th.

The competition encompassed 21 different events, in which students participated in testing events, building events, laboratory events, and hybrid test/build events. Students worked hard since September to prepare for the competition. The technology department provided lessons on CAD, design, and using tools.
