Flags of TCMS

One of the most distinctive and meaningful features of Twelve Corners Middle School is our beautiful atrium. More than simply a bright and welcoming entrance, the atrium serves as a powerful symbol of who we are as a school community. Suspended above our students and visitors are nearly 80 flags representing nations from around the world. Each flag honors a country of birth connected to a student who has walked through our halls. [ 

When a new country is represented within our school community, we proudly add its flag to our collection. Each addition is celebrated through a special flag dedication ceremony featured on our morning show, where the student is recognized and welcomed into this enduring tradition. These ceremonies remind us that every student's story matters and that our differences strengthen and enrich our school community. 

The Flags of TCMS have become a hallmark of both our building and the Brighton Central School District. They serve as a daily visual reminder of the diversity that makes our school stronger, the connections that unite us, and our commitment to creating an environment where every student feels seen, valued, and respected. As students enter our building each day, they are greeted by a powerful reflection of the many cultures, languages, experiences, and perspectives that contribute to the vibrant community we call TCMS. 

We are proud that our collection continues to grow each year. Every new flag tells a story, represents a family, and adds another chapter to the rich tapestry of our school. Together, these flags celebrate not only where we come from, but also the shared values and sense of belonging that bring us together as one TCMS community.
