The Health Office may dispense prescribed medications to a student if we have a doctor's order on file in the Health Office. The medication must be in the original bottle and dropped off by a parent or guardian. Any remaining medication will be discarded on the last day of school unless picked up by parent or guardian.  New forms are required for each school year. If half pill dosage is required, please send pill to school cut in half. Mid-day medications are not administered on school half days unless specifically requested by the parent.

In order to comply with state regulations, we need to have a parent and a physician signature in order to administer any over the counter medication. Please note this is a change in district practice from previous years. Please contact your child’s school nurse with any questions or concerns.
