Sherri Hellman

Building Registrar & New Student and Family Coordinator Clerk

Sherri, a Brighton High School graduate, began her career as a professional dancer after earning a BFA from Adelphi University. She spent 15 years performing, teaching master classes, and re-staging works in the U.S. and abroad. Her passion for arts education led her to become a movement specialist at institutions such as Brooklyn Heights Montessori School, Dance Theatre of Harlem, and Brooklyn College Preparatory Center.

As the founder and director of the Creative Arts Studio in Brooklyn, Sherri built a thriving children’s arts program, offering classes, camps, and performance opportunities for nearly three decades. She also served as Chairperson of a NYC public school leadership team and later became the school’s Healing Ambassador, where she created and led the Family Forum | Wellness Collective (FFWC), a community wellness initiative. Additionally, she collaborated with NYC Education Council leadership on various projects to bring the community together post-pandemic and continues to be a force in uniting and supporting families.

Now back in Rochester, Sherri is thrilled to be part of the TCMS team, supporting students and families as they transition into middle school
