Kersting Presents on Challenges Related to Technology

Brighton Central School District and the Brighton PTSA brought guest speaker Tom Kersting to the District in January. Kersting is a nationally renowned psychotherapist, author, and television contributor. He is the author of “Disconnected: How to Protect Your Kids From the Harmful Effects of Device Dependency” and “Raising Healthy Teenagers: Equipping Your Child to Navigate the Pitfalls and Dangers of Teen Life.”

The focus of his visit was helping children navigate the challenges related to technology so they can thrive socially, emotionally, and academically. Kersting presented to students at Twelve Corners Middle School and Brighton High School and offered a Parent University event in the evening for families.
