Festival of Ideas Captivates Students

Posted Date: 03/26/26 (01:47 PM)

Brighton Central School District’s annual Festival of Ideas was a hit with students in March. Almost 700 students in grades 3 through 8 came to Brighton High School to participate in the educational fun day. It was the 36th year of Festival of Ideas!

This year's mind-boggling array of topics included returning favorites such as Chocolate Explosion, Fencing, Cake Decorating, Slime, Hands-On Robotics, and Pretzel Making. For 2026, the lineup included exciting new entries such as Broken Bones, Quasars, Axolotls and Reptiles, Spinning Yarn, Into the Invisible, and Bedazzling.
Thank you to the workshop presenters and the adult and student volunteers who helped make the event a success.

Festival of Ideas is quite simply the quintessential school-community event!
