We Need Your Feedback on the School Budget

Each year, we set out to develop a budget that supports the needs of all learners, promotes innovation and growth, and maintains the excellent program being offered to our community, all while minimizing the impact on taxpayers as much as possible. We're once again encountering a variety of challenges as we plan for next year. In ways very similar to the challenges faced by individuals and families planning their household budgets, we're facing increasing costs for everything we do and limits to the revenue that the District will receive from New York State and the local tax levy. We are acutely aware of the school tax burden and are always hoping to find ways to do more with less.
 
Our students continue to achieve at the highest levels when compared locally, statewide, and nationally. There have never been more opportunities for them to learn and grow as students, artists, athletes, and participants in any number of clubs and activities. They're doing really, really, well. That said, we need to find ways to continue supporting excellence and continuously improving while being efficient and protective of your hard-earned dollars.
 
As we make decisions and form next year's spending plans, we find your feedback as a community to be very helpful in developing our priorities and exploring our practices. This survey will be open through February 28.
